Can I Remove Primer from Un-Finished Hardwood Floors?

I just had the hardwood floors installed in the living room. The flooring guys laid down the floors and put the first coat of stain on. Unfortunately my painter got primer on portions of the floor. Is there any way to remove the primer without sanding the floors down and without ruining the stain on the floor?
