What do you think of a wooden wedding band?

My fiance and I have been looking around for options for our wedding rings. One thing that has appeared is wooden rings and I like the look of them. He likes the idea of it because he worked installing hardwood floors for 5 years. I want to have his and mine match but I'm not sure how a wood ring would look with my engagement ring. I plan on wearing both when we're married. The center stone is a peridot and the ring is made from white gold. Neither one of us is really interested in being traditional, we picked out the engagement ring together and it has a great deal of meaning. I would like our wedding bands to have as much meaning and be as non-traditional as my engagement ring. Does anyone know someone with a wooden wedding band? What do you think of them?
