I keep finding earwigs and pill bugs(i think that is what they are) in my bedroom. how can i get rid of them?

I keep finding earwigs in my bedroom (lately not as many) but now i am seeing lots of pill bugs (i think that is there name). I got the carpet out of my bedroom in the summer so now i have a hardwood floor. my bedroom is in the basement. how can i get rid of them? My sisters room is right next to mine and she told me she does not get many bugs in her room. can it be because of the Temperature of the room? could a sweeping help? why do you think they are getting in my room? i am just Curious i read that lavender helps keep bugs away so if i spray lavender oil in my room do you think that will help keep them out of my room? anything else be free to put here.
