I have hardwood flooring. Dirt gets trapped in grooves how can I easily and effectively clean them?n?

I have wood floors with grooves not the smooth kind big mistake! They are a nightmare to clean because dirt gets trapped and my swiffer mop just doesn't get it out. It is starting to build up. I tried scrubbing it out with a toothbrush effective but not practical. Help!
